**Q: Is this waterproof?**
A: I don't know if it's legit waterproof, but I've worn mine on jackets and backpacks out in the rain and it still looks as great as the day I got it.

**Q: Does this have a heft to it?   Ideally I would like to use this as a kilt pin. But it won’t work if it is too light.**
A: It's a very nice pin, but I don't think it would be good to use as a kilt pin
