Our A/P person has gone through about 3 staplers in the past year (that we originally thought were decent because they were labeled 'heavy duty' automatic staplers). They were not. When asked if I could order her a new one, I looked for one on desertcart and came across this one. I was a bit apprehensive because it is a smidge pricey, but if it works, even if we have to replace it in a year, it's still less expensive than the total amount that we have spent on other ones. Anyhow, we bought it, and it works great. She uses it constantly and it's wonderful. I've ordered an extra staple refill just to have on hand. The staples are not the 'Super Heavy Duty' ones that you need a crowbar and salty language to remove if needed, but go right through the stack of papers effortlessly. We'd buy this again for sure!! ## Features - Designed for over 500 000 Stapling Operations - 90 Sheet Capacity Using Stapling Cartridge - Low Noise Level - Flat Clinch - Reduces Paper Stacks with 30% - sold as 1 each ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004QDE1H0 | | Brand | Rapid | | Brand Name | Rapid | | Capacity Description | Full Strip | | Colour | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 59 Reviews | | EU Spare Part Availability Duration | 1 Years | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00079946901474 | | Item Weight | 6.5 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Elmers | | Manufacturer Part Number | 90147 | | Material | Alloy Steel, Plastic | | Material Type | Alloy Steel, Plastic | | Model number | 90147 | | Number Of Fasteners | 5000 | | Number of Fasteners | 5000 | | Operation Mode | Automatic | | Product Style | Flat | | Style | Flat | | UPC | 078787903470 079946901474 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 2 Years | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Esselte - **Colour:** Black - **Material:** Alloy Steel, Plastic - **Style:** Flat - **Operation Mode:** Automatic ## Images ![Rapid 5080e Professional Electric Stapler (90147) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/715wZRF9PCL.jpg) ![Rapid 5080e Professional Electric Stapler (90147) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Ffv484nHL.jpg) ![Rapid 5080e Professional Electric Stapler (90147) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71jQIJY936L.jpg) ![Rapid 5080e Professional Electric Stapler (90147) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81YAzDiPDqL.jpg) ![Rapid 5080e Professional Electric Stapler (90147) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71BvcsyCPAL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does this work for 220 volts?** A: Yes. **Q: does this work for a 110v outlet?** A: Yes it works for standard 110v outlet **Q: Is this battery operated? What size batteries and how much?** A: No, Rapid Model 5080 Electric Stapler does not use batteries. What are you stapling? **Q: how do you return it for repairs. we just bought it 30 days ago??** A: I have two of these (one at each office) and neither has ever stopped working and I have used both for a number of years now. If it broke after 30 days, I would probably return it. But make sure the problem isn't the staple cartridge first. I did get one bad cartridge. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rapid Stapler *by M***R on 17 February 2018* Excellent stapler.. fast and efficient ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great and doesn't jam up *by M***N on 14 August 2023* We staple. Had it for a week, hoping it was a fluke. Nope ... jams and misfires continually. Will be returning for a refund this time. ## Frequently Bought Together - Rapid 5080e Professional Electric Cartridge Stapler, 90 Sheet Capacity, Black, Includes 1 Cartridge with 5000 Staples (90147) - Rapid 90220 Staple Cartridge for 5080e 5 000/Box --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/413411387-rapid-5080e-professional-electric-stapler-90147](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/413411387-rapid-5080e-professional-electric-stapler-90147) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
