Review: Sharp, Complete Set, and Looks Great on the Counter - I bought this Cuisinart 15-piece knife set because I wanted one complete set instead of having random knives from different brands taking over the kitchen drawer. The stainless steel design looks clean and modern, and the wooden block keeps everything organized and easy to reach. I also like that the set includes the sharpening steel and kitchen shears, so it covers more than just the basic knives. The knives feel balanced in the hand and came sharp enough for everyday prep like slicing vegetables, cutting meat, and handling general kitchen work. I definitely recommend using the sharpening steel regularly because even good knives need a little maintenance. The biggest improvement for me is organization. Now I actually know where the knife I need is instead of opening a drawer that looks like a culinary junkyard. 😂 Overall, a very complete, attractive, and practical knife set for everyday cooking. Review: I LOVE THESE KNIVES!! **UPDATE** - **it has been 3 wonderful years with these knives and they're still as sharp as the day they arrived! I have had no need to have them sharpened, and honestly, I still have no complaints. They. Are. AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about these knives. I recently moved into a new house and of course needed to upgrade some items. First on my list was a good knife set since I'm a avid cooker. Despite some bad reviews, I went ahead and ordered these. First things first; they are SHARP. I can only cut with one hand and these bad boys slice through tomatoes like nobody's business. One handed cutters dream!! Second, they are GORGEOUS. I am beyond proud of displaying them. Third, they have a wonderful balance to them. They are durable, there is nothing flimsy about them!! I have had several knife sets, but these are my absolute favourite!! Some people were complaining about them rusting, and fair, that COULD happen. But if treated right, they wont do that. My number one rule is these do NOT go in the dishwasher. In certain circumstances, they don't even see soap. They are washed immediately after use, thoroughly dried, and returned to the block. Should spots appear, I use stainless steel cleaner. They are still as beautiful as the day I took them out of the box. They also have required no sharpening since I got them. If stored and taken care of PROPERLY, these knives will never need replaced. They are every bit what I had hoped for and worth every penny spent. I highly recommend them to anyone who asks and even to those who don't!!! If you want knives you don't care about or you'll throw in the dishwasher, these are not for you. Take care of your knives, love them, respect them, and they will deliver excellent performance time and time again. ## Features - SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE: Cuisinart’s 15-piece Superior high-carbon stainless steel blades for precision and accuracy - TOTAL CONTROL: Strong, durable bolster for perfect stability and control. However, I don't plan on this being my final set/brand but also am willing to go to someone who is a pro to resharpen them so yes, they go in my dishwasher. They come out just fine but I allow one whole bin in the silverware tray to them with no other piece including a sister knife from the set in there with them. One knife per bin. That being said, the soap will dull the blade over time. So no, it isn't dishwasher safe for sharpness. It is dishwasher safe for construction and looks. **Q: What is the block made out of?** A: Charlie Brown wood . It's a Block Head . **Q: Are the steak knives serrated?** A: No they are not serrated **Q: Is this one piece from blade to end of handle?** A: The blade and handle are all of the same material. I don't see a separation from the blade and handle ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sharp, Complete Set, and Looks Great on the Counter *by J***D on August 10, 2026* I bought this Cuisinart 15-piece knife set because I wanted one complete set instead of having random knives from different brands taking over the kitchen drawer. First impressions are GREAT, these are by far the highest quality set ive ever held in my 26 year old hands. They are freaky sharp and have a great balance you really can feel in your hand, that hollow handle seems to do its job. I dont have a dishwasher so cant comment on how they hold up in there. Im hoping these will last for a while and i have a feeling they will. I will update if im proven wrong. ## Frequently Bought Together - CUISINART Block Knife Set, 15pc Ultra Ultra- Sharp Cutlery Knife Set with Steel Blades for Precise Cutting , Lightweight, Stainless Steel, Durable & Dishwasher Safe, C77SS-15PK - Cuisinart 11-Piece Cookware Set, Chef's Classic Stainless Steel Collection 77-11G - Libbey Ascent 16-Piece Tumbler and Rocks Glass Set --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/4120278-15-piece-stainless-steel-hollow-handle-block-set-c77ss-15pk](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/4120278-15-piece-stainless-steel-hollow-handle-block-set-c77ss-15pk) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
