Key points after a month of use: - Pump works great. Some residue will collect like any dispenser, but the pump will shoot soap across the room if you press hard enough. - No rust. It feels strange that rust would be possible on a kitchen tool, but the Stainless/Nickel pump from Lowe's rusted in the first week. - You can see the soap level. First off, you know when to fill it, but second, you know when to stop filling it. There is nothing worse than over filling a soap dispenser, and cleaning up the mess you just created. - The color is purely taste based, but the glass is brown, similar to a beer bottle. We use ours in the kitchen, but I would have used it in a second bathroom if it didn't hold up well. Instead, I'll leave the hardware store brands in the bathrooms that never get used. This one looks good, and works great.
