A: Dear customer,
Yes, RSH-DS01 Hard Drive Docking Station with 2 SATA slots, supports standard 2.5"/3.5" SATA SSD and HDD.(IDE is not supported)

**Q: When cloning does the target disk need to be formatted and disk letter assigned in disk manager (Windows 11) prior to the cloning process?**
A: If you're speaking about the built-in cloning feature, you do not. You do not even need it plugged into any PC (this is my preferred method for cloning). Take note that if your destination disk is larger than your source disk, it will be partitioned and formatted to the same specs as your source. To make use of the destination's full storage you need to connect that disk to a PC and use disk management tools to expand the partition to the full disk size.

**Q: My 2016 macbook pro died. Can I pull the hard drive from it and use this device to access the data?**
A: Dear customer, if the hard drive is SATA hard drive and it is not damaged, you can use RSH-DS01 Hard drive reader to access data. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us through the order system.
