Review: Up to the usual MK standard - MK accessories are normally designed and built to the highest of standards. This connection unit is no exception. It’s easy to make the connections and complete the installation. It looks smart too, especially being nice and slim, as plastic sockets go. I love the clip-on cover, hiding the screw heads and making re-decoration of the wall a doddle. It’s pricey, currently £17.28, but I’m going to resist the temptation to deduct a star because it really is superior to competitive units. Review: Easy to fit - Great quality product like you can unclip the surround for decorating ## Features - Sleek and slim 9mm profile - 13A rated - Clearly printed and angled terminals for ease of installation - Easy to install, supplied with screws and installation instructions - 25 year guarantee ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07RZVM3BG | | Actuator Type | Push Button | | Best Sellers Rank | #92,952 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #864 in Electrical Wall Switches | | Brand | MK | | Brand Name | MK | | Circuit Type | 1-way | | Color | White | | Connector Type | Screw | | Connector type | Screw | | Contact Material | Brass | | Contact Type | Normally Open | | Contact type | Normally Open | | Control Method | Touch | | Controller Type | Push Button | | Current Rating | 13 Amps | | Current rating | 13 Amps | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 17 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05017490942579 | | Included Components | Screws, installation instructions | | Item Dimensions | 8.6 x 8.6 x 4.3 centimeters | | Item Type Name | connection unit, switch | | Manufacturer | MK Electric | | Material Type | Polycarbonate | | Model | MV1070WHI | | Mounting Type | Panel Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Positions | 1 | | Operation Mode | ON-OFF | | Operation mode | ON-OFF | | Part Number | MV1070WHI | | Specification Met | [Multiple] | | Switch Type | Push Button | | Switch type | Push Button | | Terminal | Screw | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** MK - **Connector type:** Screw - **Contact type:** Normally Open - **Current rating:** 13 Amps - **Operation mode:** ON-OFF ## Images ![MK Essentials 1G 13A Switched Fused Connection Unit with NEON & Flex - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Er8nCmRhL.jpg) ![MK Essentials 1G 13A Switched Fused Connection Unit with NEON & Flex - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61kRazxjKJL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Up to the usual MK standard *by M***Y on 16 August 2019* MK accessories are normally designed and built to the highest of standards. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to fit *by K***R on 15 October 2019* Great quality product like you can unclip the surround for decorating ### ⭐⭐⭐ Old 1070WHI Design Was Better Quality And British Made *by M***N on 28 July 2019* This new style is described as screwless but it still needs the two screws which are concealed by a clip on frame which makes it a poor choice for a public or shared area as I would imagine the clip on frames will be removed. The original 1070WHI with flex outlet also had conductor clamping screws designed for stranded cable and this one now just has input and output terminals more suited to solid conductors. The cable clamp is also of poor quality and I think my one is broken as the white part of nylon looks broken off (not 100% sure as it does not include any instructions). The old design also had the neon indicator wires already connected this one just has them loose needed them bundled in with the load wires. With the removable frame decoration may be easier but in all other respects the classic version is better (and cheaper). UPDATE: 12/08/19 I can confirm the flex clamp is indeed broken on my one and I have added two more photo's with the old version on the left with output terminals designed for the stranded conductors found in flex. They have done a good job keeping all the connections in about the same place making the upgrade pretty easy. Also of course the more conventional cable clamp. I may be wrong but I think the new version has an LED rather than a neon lamp so hopefully that will last longer. ## Frequently Bought Together - MK Essentials 1G 13A Switched Fused Connection Unit with NEON & Flex - Ma Fra Mk Logic Plus K2747 Whi 13A Double Pole Electric Switch Socket, 2 Gang Wall Power Socket - Schneider Electric Lisse White Moulded - Single Surface Pattress Box, 16 mm Deep, GGBL9116S, White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/407144696-mk-essentials-1g-13a-switched-fused-connection-unit-with-neon](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/407144696-mk-essentials-1g-13a-switched-fused-connection-unit-with-neon) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
