The way the speaker wires connect is not well placed but hopefully I am done with that now. Also I used the automatic setup but was not happy with the results. I did a manual setup and now this thing sounds good! I am extremely happy with the sound and function. I replaced an old Onkio receiver that had quit working and this one blows that one out of the water. This Pioneer will play all the speakers when listening to music which always irritated me about the Onkio not doing that. I still have my same speakers and the sound is crisp and clear and loud. Up to 50 the volume is pretty low and gradual adjust which is nice for listening low but top level 50 and it gets loud fast. My ears can only handle up to 68 and then its too loud. I seriously couldn't be more happy. This thing surpasses my expectations. Very happy with my purchase. It even has an rf remote and dual zone speaker output if I want to put speakers in a different room or on the deck. The display is clear and not too busy with a dimmer on it. Where I have it its not very visible but is a good looking receiver I wouldn't mind having prominently visible. Very glad I picked this Pioneer out. Review: Wow! - This was my first time replacing an amplifier on my own. It was easy to hook it up to my Bose speakers and the sound is incredible! The price was right and it arrived on time. I added a video and hopefully you can get an idea of how great it sounds in my living room. Highly recommended! ## Features - 7 Channels - 170 W/ch (6 ohms, 1 kHz, THD 10 percent, 1ch Driven) - 80 W/ch (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, THD 0.08 percent, 2ch Driven, FTC) - Audio Features: Dolby Atmos, Dolby Surround Upmixer, DTS:X, DTS Neural:X Upmixer - Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B095PXJP7R | | Audio Output Mode | Surround | | Audio Output Type | Speakers | | Best Sellers Rank | #28,173 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #28 in Audio Component Receivers | | Brand | PIONEER | | Built-In Media | AV Receiver, Remote | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Game Console, Speaker, Television | | Connectivity Technology | Bluetooth, HDMI , USB | | Connector Type | HDMI | | Control Method | Voice | | Controller Type | Remote | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 370 Reviews | | External Testing Certification | Não aplicável | | Format | WAV | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 14.56"D x 17.13"W x 6.81"H | | Item Type Name | Home Theater Receiver | | Item Weight | 20.7 pounds | | Manufacturer | Pioneer | | Mfr Part Number | VSX-935 | | Model Number | VSX-935 | | Number of Channels | 7 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | ARC | | Output Power | 80 watts | | Output Wattage | 165 watts | | Software Update Supported to Date | unknown | | Special Feature | ARC | | Supported Internet Services | TuneIn | | Surround Sound Channel Configuration | 7.2 | | Total HDMI Ports | 8 | | Total Number of HDMI Ports | 8 | | UPC | 889951003793 | | Warranty Description | 1 year warranty | | Wattage | 80 watts | | Wireless Technology | Bluetooth, IR, Wi-Fi | ## Product Details - **Audio Output Mode:** Surround - **Brand:** PIONEER - **Color:** Black - **Compatible Devices:** Game Console, Speaker, Television - **Connectivity Technology:** Bluetooth, HDMI, USB - **Connector Type:** HDMI - **Controller Type:** Remote - **Special Feature:** ARC - **Surround Sound Channel Configuration:** 7.2 - **Total HDMI Ports:** 8 ## Images ![Pioneer VSX935 7.2 Channel Network AV Receiver - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71oqJZP883L.jpg) ![Pioneer VSX935 7.2 Channel Network AV Receiver - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31ZPwwh+5EL.jpg) ![Pioneer VSX935 7.2 Channel Network AV Receiver - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41N6i97n6PL.jpg) ![Pioneer VSX935 7.2 Channel Network AV Receiver - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31ADSOkLE-L.jpg) ![Pioneer VSX935 7.2 Channel Network AV Receiver - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41nTm0MA6GL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Output Watts?** A: From our Pioneer experts at ListenUp: The Pioneer VSX-935 Power Output specs are: Watts per Channel - 80 W/ch (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, THD 0.08 %, 2ch Driven, FTC), 170 W/ch (6 ohms, 1 kHz, THD 10 %, 1ch Driven) **Q: Will this play from an ipod and phone and charge them while plugged in to the USB port?** A: Yes **Q: I see this receiver has a usb port. does it have usb read capability, for example to read and control playback of music files from a usb drive?** A: Yes. There is a usb port on the front and one on the back. You can choose either one as a source. It can play standard audio file formats like mp3, wma, wav, flac, m4a, etc. It will display the directory on a connected tv and can be controlled with the remote to move to and select the desired folder or song. **Q: Can zone 2 be used for 2 additional height speakers? for dolby atmos? or would i need some type of 9.1, 9.2, etc. setup to use extra height speakers?** A: The instructions were very complicated for dual zones. We never did get it to work appropriately.
