**Q: How do you safely cut a bagel if there is only 1 plate? Other slicers have 2 so...**
A: At BB&B they have small, about 6X8 hard thin plastic cutting mats. I slide one behind a 1" or less thick piece of bread and slice away. That way you have the thin pieces of bread or even a bagel between two "back stops". I hope this makes sense to you.

**Q: Does it collapse for storage?**
A: Easily breaks down to fit inside the included storage bag

**Q: How do you adjust slice thickness**
A: The slicer has different slice spacing in the vertical rack.  The wood backstop board is moved to the required slice thickness.

**Q: Can seller answer if this item is BPA free?**
A: Plastics made of high-density polyethylene or HDPE doesn't contain any concerning chemicals, such as BPA, which is one of the reasons we used it to create this product.
