Featuring a 12V push-button electric agitator, it eliminates manual cranking and controls odors by separating liquids from solids. Built in the USA with durable materials and quiet ventilation, it offers a modern Scandinavian aesthetic and practical off-grid functionality for van lifers and RV owners. ## Description How does the Origin control odor? A urine-diverting trap door sends liquids to a front bottle and keeps solids dry — mixing the two is what causes odor. A quiet 12V fan vents the solids bin continuously. Do I have to crank it by hand? No. A push-button electric agitator churns the solids with your composting medium, so there's no handle to turn and no lid to open while it runs. What power does it need? Will it run on solar? It runs on 12V DC and draws about 0.48 amps a day for the fan — low enough for a modest solar setup in a van, RV, tiny home or boat. What composting medium works best? Coco coir. If it comes as a brick, hydrate it in a separate container first, then fill the solids bin a little over half. Sphagnum peat moss also works. Skip hemp — it's too fine for the agitator. How many uses before I empty the solids bin? About 25 to 30 solids uses per load of coco coir. The bin lifts out for disposal, and a fresh load of medium takes a minute to set up. ## Features - SMALLEST FOOTPRINT FOR TIGHT BUILDS (15"x16") Designed for Sprinter/Transit vans, tiny homes & boats where space is everything. The OGO fits corners other composting toilets can’t—no bulky side crank, no redesigning your bathroom. More legroom, cleaner layout, modern appliance look. - PUSH-BUTTON ELECTRIC AGITATOR = ZERO CRANKING 12V motor mixes solids with one tap—no manual handle, no mess, no chore after every use. Better breakdown, better odor control, effortless daily routine. Feels like a real toilet, not a campsite workaround. - URINE-DIVERTING = NO BLACK TANK SMELL Liquids separate to a 2.4-gal bottle while solids stay dry in the rear bin (25–30 uses). Dry waste = no sewage odor, safer storage, and confident hosting in your van or tiny home. - MADE FOR REAL OFF-GRID LIFE Built in the USA from durable polypropylene. Quiet fan ventilation, low 12V power draw, simple emptying, and serviceable parts. Perfect for full-time van lifers, retro-fit RV owners, marine cabins, and off-grid couples. - MODERN DESIGN, NOT PORT-A-POTTY VIBES Clean Scandinavian-style aesthetic that belongs in a premium build. Go anywhere, smell nothing, crank nothing—upgrade your rig with the “smart toilet” built for civilized freedom. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B09QFB6P4T | | Best Sellers Rank | #148,008 in Automotive (See Top 100 in Automotive) #45 in RV Toilets | | Brand Name | OGO | | Color | White | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars (146) 4.1 out of 5 stars | | Included Components | Mounting Screws, OGO™ Compost Toilet, Power Cable, Venting Hose | | Installation Method | Floor Mounted | | Item Type Name | OGO™ ORIGIN | | Item Weight | 28 pounds | | Manufacturer | OGO | | Manufacturer Part Number | ogo-wht-2101 | | Material Type | Polypropylene High Density Polyethylene | | Model Number | OGO White 2021 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Seat Material | Polypropylene (PP) | | Shape | Rectangular | | Upc | 195893543083 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** OGO - **Color:** White - **Installation Type:** Floor Mounted - **Item Weight:** 28 pounds - **Material:** Polypropylene High Density Polyethylene ## Images ![Origin Compact Composting Toilet – 15in Footprint for Van, RV & Boat - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61+CuuQwsXL.jpg) ![Origin Compact Composting Toilet – 15in Footprint for Van, RV & Boat - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71s8vo-HPHL.jpg) ![Origin Compact Composting Toilet – 15in Footprint for Van, RV & Boat - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71XlWJZyKgL.jpg) ![Origin Compact Composting Toilet – 15in Footprint for Van, RV & Boat - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71EVeF8T+WL.jpg) ![Origin Compact Composting Toilet – 15in Footprint for Van, RV & Boat - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Vl6+05XvL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How does the Origin control odor?** A: A urine-diverting trap door sends liquids to a front bottle and keeps solids dry — mixing the two is what causes odor.
