I had done a lot of research on B-12 including which brands and types worked best for a B-12 deficiency before buying this. This is the right type of sublingual Methylcobalamin B-12. There are other types of B-12, but they are not the same. NOW Foods B-12 is sublingual (enters the blood stream under the tongue) making it more bioavailable and it's Methylcobalamin, a natural form of B-12 as opposed to cyanocobalamin. In less than 3 months the results came back, going from very low deficient to very high normal.
