I was surprised to see the GPS unit actually slides inside a rubber pouch on the top of the unit, which then sticks securely to the dash. That alone makes the price worth it. Review: Works! Sticks to almost all surfaces but especially to smooth ones - Used it on a sailboat to hold the GPS receiver in place. Placed it at various locations on the deck out of the way of people and lines and held the GPS in place flawlessly even on seas with up to 10 ft swells and 20+ knots winds. ## Features - Great Product ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B008PGHRLQ | | Additional Features | Portable | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,068 in GPS Vehicle Mounts | | Brand | Garmin | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Projectors | | Compatible Phone Models | To determine the compatible phone models for the Phillips Norelco HQ8505 US Charging Cord, it's important to note that this cord is not intended for use with phones or other electronic devices. Would this help/prevent?** A: I placed it in the center of my dash. After a couple of hours operating and being in the hot sun, it would shut down. After it cooled it would run again. I assumed that it would simply overheat. **Q: What colors does it come with** A: Black only **Q: Does it come in red** A: Don’t know that but black is good **Q: Does this work with gps too?** A: This device is simply a rubber friction mount that the Garmin Glo, a GPS receiver, fits into. It would work for any other device that you could manage to insert into it........... ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than I thought! *by T***4 on February 26, 2024* I thought the GPS unit would just sit on this pad and therefore also thought it was a little pricey. I was surprised to see the GPS unit actually slides inside a rubber pouch on the top of the unit, which then sticks securely to the dash. That alone makes the price worth it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works! Sticks to almost all surfaces but especially to smooth ones *by D***E on August 31, 2022* Used it on a sailboat to hold the GPS receiver in place. Placed it at various locations on the deck out of the way of people and lines and held the GPS in place flawlessly even on seas with up to 10 ft swells and 20+ knots winds. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Friction Mount Stays Put *by M***K on April 9, 2020* Got this at the same time as a Garmin GLO 2 for a week long overland trip, and it performed superbly. Chunked it up on the dash, and it didn't budge through all of the off-road bumps. The molded pocked fits the GLO 2 perfectly, and it's malleable enough to easily get the unit in and out of the mount. ## Frequently Bought Together - Garmin Garmin 010 11832 00 Portable Friction Mount For Glo, - Garmin GLO 2 GPS and GLONASS Receiver for Precise Position Information on Mobile Devices, Black - CaseSack Case for Garmin GLO 2 GPS and GLONASS Receiver --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/4044265-garmin-garmin-010-11832-00-portable-friction-mount-for-glo](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/4044265-garmin-garmin-010-11832-00-portable-friction-mount-for-glo) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
