Would probably need to be under buttocks** A: You would probably have to do the right to left move first either low on the hips or buttocks and then reposition higher on the back toward the arm pits to finish the transition out of the car. There are many uses for this and we have found it to be very helpful and well worth its cost. **Q: Will this help lift my husband up and off the couch and into a moving truck while a new upgraded man takes his place?** A: Probably not. It didn't work that well for us.we tried to use it getting my grandfather in and out of my truck and it was useless **Q: Can this be used to lift someone off the floor?** A: I use it more to pull my husband up to sitting position from the bed. When on the floor, I use a gait belt, with at least another person to help. You know you can also use the Lift Assist Program, we can call fire, rescue or police,they will come and help also, free of charge. **Q: Is it machine-washable?** A: I’m not sure what the seller claims, but it’s quite durable and likely would hold up to be washed, but maybe hang to dry?
