With a fast-drying formula, it allows for quick application and can be walked on in as little as 90 minutes, making it ideal for both residential and commercial projects. ## Description SETCRETE DEEP BASE is designed to raise floor levels quickly and economically and for smoothing uneven floors in light to heavy-duty internal applications. The versatility of the product allows for application between 5–50mm in one application.SETCRETE DEEP BASE utilizes the latest fast-drying cement technology to achieve a walk-on time of as little as 90 minutes. It produces a stronger and less friable surface than traditional sand/cement screeds and, as it is a water mix, it offers the advantages of being economical and latex-free.SETCRETE DEEP BASE is suitable for use over a wide range of absorbent subfloor types including sand/cement screed and concrete. It is also suitable for use over non-absorbent subfloors such as ceramics, granolithic, terrazzo, epoxy and polyurethane resins, ceramic and quarry tiles, providing they are sound, well adhered, and suitably prepared.The temperature of the floor must be maintained above 5Β°C throughout the application and drying of the leveling compound. Underfloor heating must be switched off for at least 48 hours before, during, and after application. Subfloors must incorporate an effective damp proof membrane and conform to the requirements of relevant BS standards for flooring installation. ## Features - Preparation: Floor surfaces must be suitably prepared sound, dry – less than 75% Relative Humidity (less than 65% Relative Humidity for wood floor installations) and free from contaminants that may prevent adhesion. Concrete and sand/cement screeds must be fully cured and any laitance or surface treatments must be removed. - Absorbent & Non-absorbent surfaces: Prime with SETCRETE ACRYLIC PRIMER, diluted with 4 part water to prevent rapid drying of the levelling compound. Prime with undiluted SETCRETE ACRYLIC PRIMER to promote adhesion. - Mixing: Gradually add 1 unit of SETCRETE DEEP BASE Floor Levelling Compound to 3.4 litres of clean water in a clean mixing bucket. When applying at thicknesses between 16–50mm reduce the water to 3.2 litres. - Working Time & Setting Time: Approximately 20–30 minutes at 20Β°C depending on subfloor absorbency, ambient temperature and humidity. SETCRETE DEEP BASE can be walked on from 90 minutes, depending upon applied thickness, subfloor absorbency and ambient conditions, but typically will be no more than 3 hours. - Storage: Store in unopened bags, clear of the ground in cool, dry conditions.
