## Overview

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 is a compact, ultra-lightweight prime lens designed for Nikon Z-series mirrorless cameras. Featuring a bright f/2 aperture and a versatile 40mm focal length, it delivers sharp images with beautiful natural bokeh. Its quiet STM autofocus and customizable control ring enhance creative control, making it ideal for both stills and video. Compatible with FX and DX formats, this lens is perfect for professionals seeking a portable, high-performance everyday lens backed by a 1-year warranty.

## Description

Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 is a versatile prime straddling wide-angle and normal fields of view and featuring a bright f/2 maximum aperture. The distinct focal length is wide enough for spontaneous shooting but still tight enough for portraiture and selective focus shooting. Additionally, the lens's compact, portable form factor makes it perfect for walkaround shooting and equally well-suited to use on FX or DX-format camera bodies.

## Features

- Camera compatibility: Compatible with FX and DX format Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras (on DX-format cameras, the lens has a field of view of 60mm)
- Fast & quiet Autofocus: AF System greatly suppresses focus breathing to prevent angle-of-view shifts during recording and allows for smooth iris adjustments with the click-less control ring to create a natural shift in brightness
- Custom control ring: Customize the way you shoot with the control ring for precise manual focusing or to adjust aperture, ISO, or exposure compensation
- Beautiful background blur: The shallow depth of field of f/2 is enhanced by the lens' 9 rounded blade diaphragm, creating a natural bokeh effect
- Compact and lightweight design: Ultra-lightweight construction makes this lens suitable for walkaround shooting and everyday photography on both FX and DX-format camera bodies
