A: There is a bit of padding at the bottom.

**Q: Has anyone had an issue with the plastic buckle on the shoulder straps digging into their underarm area?**

A: Bought this backpack 4 my Grandson for work and he is extremely happy with it. Carries a lot of stuff in it 4 work. Eg. Lunch box, large water bottle,  a coat and work boots etc. Even use it to carry his shopping in.says it's firm and rain proof. Good value 4 money. Will recommend 👌
