The original A&A mini stand supports the board like a table leg, so the board is completely flat when touched! And the mini stand can also provide excellent protection for the table surface against the metal lock of the chess box. - [Perfect Proportions] A&A is the only chess set on the market that meets standard USCF and FIDE proportions. 15-inch board with 1.5-inch mahogany/maple squares, comes with 3-inch tall king Staunton pieces and 1.18-inch base diameter. (The height of the king is twice the squares and the diameter of the base is 75% of the squares). - [Premium Quality] A&A Chess insists on the natural color of the wood instead of dyeing to get the color of the product appearance, and the pioneering chess piece tray design makes you feel comfortable the moment you open the box. - 【Incredible details】 The A&A board game features incredibly fine details: the 0.55-inch thick frame with tongue and groove joints makes the box sturdy; the rounded corners are visually and tactilely comfortable; the design of the patented support legs provides a flat surface when playing chess; the magnetic weighted pieces add stability to your game while traveling. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B097MPRKMT | | Age Range Description | 14+ | | Are Batteries Required | No | | Best Sellers Rank | #46,484 in Toys ( See Top 100 in Toys ) #104 in Chess Games | | Brand Name | A&A | | CPSIA Cautionary Statement | Choking Hazard - Small Parts | | Color | Light | | Customer Package Type | Reinforced Box" or "Foam Insert Box | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (1,254) | | Edition | Standard Edition | | Educational Objective | Enhance cognitive skills and strategic thinking | | Game Mechanics | area control, strategy | | Genre | Strategy | | Included Components | chess pieces and checkers | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Is Assembly Required | No | | Item Dimensions | 30.5 x 7.6 x 0.3 centimeters | | Item Dimensions L x W | 39.7L x 20.8W centimeters | | Item Type Name | chess | | Item Weight | 1.45 Kilograms | | Language | Japanese | | Manufacturer | Alex.H & Abel.C | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1008.380.063M | | Manufacturer recommended age | 8 years and up | | Material Type | Wood | | Minimum Age Recomendation | 14 | | Model Number | 1008.380.063M | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 2 | | Number of Players | 2 | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Set Name | A&A 15 | | Size | One Size | | Theme | Board Games | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** A&A - **Genre:** Strategy - **Material:** Wood - **Number of players:** 2 - **Theme:** Board Games ## Images ![A&A 15" Magnetic Wooden Chess & Checkers Set, Handmade 3" King Height Unique Chess Pieces with 2 Extra Queen, Portable Travel Chess Game Set for Adults Kids - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/813qO3BESaL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Edition** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: I understand the set says there are 2 extra queens included but I see that it is two extra kings. Seems more necessary to include the queens instead?** A: Each side has an extra queen because, in a chess game, if you have a pawn that reaches the 8th rank of the Board, it can be exchanged for any piece, but obviously most players will choose to have it be a queen. If your original queen is still in play on the board, it's nice to have an extra one to use instead of having to fashion some other kind of marker. . **Q: Do the checker pieces fall out when the board is turned over?** A: If you open it the wrong way then they will fall out but if you open it correctly then all the pieces stay put. My son rarely uses the checker pieces but he still keeps them with the set. Very good product! **Q: How do i contact seller? I am missing a brown pawn and was played after the return window** A: Very good question. An answer from distributors is appreciated here In case we lose pieces and want to replace. Probably will have to buy new set. You should contact Amazon to replace entire product and you will have to return the one you got after your replacement is shipped. Just went through this with Amazon **Q: I have never seen this tiny bracket from other chessboard, I’d like what is it for, and appreciate for your answer.** A: First of all, i think it is a unbeatable design as I have bought many foldable chess set for my kids. The center of a chessboard hump up always, that it is unavoidable to had a huge gap in the hingle area, that’s why i don’t like the foldable board all the time. This mini bracket supports the chessboard just like table legs, it fully flat while playing, two halves of the board are really flush with one another !!!! And the mini bracket design also can keep the metal board locks away from your desk to avoid scratches if the desk is made of wood, which can protect your furniture well. ## Frequently Bought Together - A&A 15" Magnetic Wooden Chess Set/Folding Board / 3" King Height German Knight Staunton Chess Pieces/2 Extra Queen - The Usborne Chess Book (Activity Books): 1 (Usborne Chess Books) - Chess for Kids: How to Play and Win --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/398625297-a-and-a-15-magnetic-wooden-chess-and-checkers-set](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/398625297-a-and-a-15-magnetic-wooden-chess-and-checkers-set) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
