I love the color. They're super easy to grow. We start all of our seeds, vegetables, fruits, flowers in pods In our greenhouse and then transplant outside. Sunflowers need to transition. Anyway, my granddaughter entered one in the fair This year it was over eleven feet tall. There was a lot of care and tending. The one in the picture is small. Because we didn't want it to fall over and break. But they do get regular sized flowers on them. They go crazy. The limbs do get heavy from the leaves and break off Occasionally. But they are easy to trim. Taylor one is pretty dark, but the sun is behind it. But it is obviously very dark color. Review: Nice reddish brown flower, strong and sturdy. - The seeds grew - approx 80%! The flowers weren't very large, but nice. They are that rich brownish red color. They also arrived timely. Id definitely recommend this brand. I had one that bent over completely. It was completely crushed. I added a straight twig and zip tied it together. It's been 2 weeks and it mended itself. The flowers are approximately 5.5' tall. They are all straight and tall no matter the wind. Recommend! ## Features - EXOTIC CHOCOLATE CHERRY SUNFLOWER SEEDS – Large 5–8" burgundy-black blooms with chocolate centers on 6–7 ft branching heirloom sunflowers (Helianthus annuus) - POLLINATOR FRIENDLY GARDEN SEEDS – Attracts bees, butterflies, birds, and pollinators, low pollen variety ideal for balancing habitat support with ornamental use - ANNUAL SUNFLOWER 6–7 FEET TALL – Grows in full sun and well-drained soil, burgundy blooms from summer through fall, great for beds, borders, containers, and cut flowers - EASY PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED – Every seed packet has details on germination, spacing, care, and seed saving for successful garden growth - FAMILY OWNED USA SMALL BUSINESS – Heirloom non-GMO seeds from Survival Garden Seeds, a trusted American brand; always open-pollinated, untreated, and quality tested for garden success ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09BP734G1 | | Best Sellers Rank | #6,657 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #34 in Flower Plants & Seeds | | Brand | SURVIVAL GARDEN SEEDS | | Brand Name | SURVIVAL GARDEN SEEDS | | Color | burgundy | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 2,252 Reviews | | Expected Blooming Period | Summer to Fall | | Expected Plant Height | 6 feet | | Expected Planting Period | Spring to Summer | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Outdoor | | Indoor/Outdoor Usage | Outdoor | | Item Weight | 4.54 g | | Manufacturer | JD Hardware LLC | | Manufacturer Part Number | SGSSunflowerChocolateCherry-1 | | Material Feature | GMO Free, Heirloom | | Material Features | GMO Free, Heirloom | | Model Number | SDK50 | | Moisture Needs | Moderate Watering | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Attracts Pollinators, Drought Tolerant, Extended Bloom Time, High Germination Rate, Low Maintenance | | Plant or Animal Product Type | Flowers | | Product Care Instructions | Sow directly outside after last frost date in a sunny spot with soil that drains well.
