I believe the app (unless recently updated) is designed for Iphones. I haven't had issues with it. I've gone live on instagram and recorded some other videos. Not very good for a Go-Pro - fiddly to use and fit and to get aligned properly. Better for my iPhone although I did not get to try much of the functionality because.... after a few weeks it failed and would not activate. The company has agreed to let me return the device but as yet has not provided me with the process to do this. This is the second device of this type that I have purchased and had to return. They do not see\m to be very reliable... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Warning for plus sized phones (especially the iPhone 7 plus and 6+) *by P***H on Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2017* I bought the black Uoplay to use with my iPhone 7 plus and GoPro 5. I had a tough time getting it to work properly with my iPhone 7+. I installed the counterweight and took the case off my phone and it finally stabilized. I suppose when you have a larger phone, it takes a larger toll on the motor when you've got the case on.I wanted to use the gimbal to capture my nephew's first steps. It's tough to film at a kid's eye level, but with a gimbal, I'd have a better chance of a perfect shot at a low level. With 310 degree's of pitch rotation advertised, I was sold... however, it would not rotate a full 310 degrees. The bottom of the grip arm that holds my phone kept hitting and getting stuck on the back 'roll' motor. It was really annoying. I thought maybe the arm was installed the wrong way... nope. was worse when flipped. Other than that, It was pretty smooth video recording. I am curious if anyone has had a similar experience with the pitch using the silver uoplay with an iPhone 7+ or 6+.Please leave a comment if you have or have not, as I'm more interested in learning that the silver Uoplay will work with a plus sized phone than having to try it and learn it does not. It's hard to tell when reviews won't list which product they're reviewing when multiple items are sold under the same listing. You can't always tell if a review is talking about the black uoplay or silver one.Unfortunatly I returned the black uoplay before I could figure out how to use it with my GoPro. The grip is too wide any which way you attempt to install the bare GoPro 5, so I'm not sure how only the included rubber band would work with it without the grips locking on it. I hadn't thought of trying it with the housing on, so that might be the solution. I can't say for sure as I've not tried it.One thing to note is that the app does not always save your video footage. I've lost a few videos from saving properly on my phone through the app. It would say it's recording but once it's done, it wouldn't drop the video onto my phone. Yes the app had permission to save to my phone. If the thing you are shooting is a precious moment, then skip the app and use your phone's video recorder directly instead. That said, the uoplay app does have some brillant features such as face follow and motion timelapse. The videos I lost were 2 motion timelapse.Another thing to note, when you first turn the gimbal on, you'll see a pulsing blue light. The pulsing blue light only means it knows you meant to turn it on (standby), not that it is in gimbal mode. To activate 1 of 3 Gimbal modes is a (deceivingly) red, green, or solid blue light. A pulsing light means something other than gimbal mode. See more info on the indicator lights and its meaning in the List 1 below.Star Rating: 4/5I dropped 1 star off a 5 star review for the fact that it would not fully work as advertised for a plus sized iphone. Apart from my particular phone size being an issue, I don't see this being a problem with all other sizes. It worked brilliantly with my friends iphone 5s.
