These loadable dumbbell bars turn your existing 2 inch Olympic weight plates into a fully customizable dumbbell system, delivering versatile, gym-quality training without the need to purchase expensive fixed dumbbell sets. Crafted from high-grade solid alloy steel, each 16 inch dumbbell bar supports up to 100 pounds, outperforming fragile hollow alternatives for long-lasting durability. The chrome-plated finish resists rust and corrosion, while the built-in rotating sleeve reduces wrist torsion during dynamic movements like curls and presses, lowering injury risk and improving exercise form. The textured 25mm ergonomic grip ensures a secure, non-slip hold, and the included 2 pairs of heavy-duty spring collars lock weight plates firmly in place, eliminating slipping hazards for safe training. This complete set comes with 2 dumbbell bars and 4 spring collars, ready to use right out of the box with no extra accessories needed. It lets you adjust weight freely to match your fitness level—from beginner to advanced—and saves precious storage space, making it perfect for small homes, apartments, home gyms, small studios, commercial gyms, office workouts, and outdoor training. Ideal for fitness beginners, strength training enthusiasts, professional athletes, and anyone who already owns Olympic weight plates, these heavy duty dumbbell handles maximize your equipment investment. Every AboveGenius product is built with meticulous attention to quality, designed to support your fitness journey with reliable, user-friendly strength training solutions. ## Features - A Great Starter Set: This set includes 2 olympic dumbbell bars and 2 spring collars. The bar is 16" in length with a 25mm handgrip diameter. Each bar weighs 8.3 LB unloaded, but reaches the weight of 8.3 LB when combined with 2 pair of spring collars - Soild and Sturdy: Unlike those fragile hollow bars, these bars are made of reliable quality solid steel and can hold weights up to 100 Lb. The well-plated chrome finish protects the bar from rust and corrosion - For Olympic Plates: These dumbbell handles are compatible with olympic weights with 2" holes. Get these bars and utilize your weights to make your own adjustable dumbbells. No need to buy a complete set of traditional DBs. Save your money and storage space - Rotating Sleeve: The rotating sleeves of dumbbell bars allow weight plates to rotate when going heavier, which relieve stress during curling and other dynamic movements - Include 2 spring collars: Each spring collar is precisely produced and will secure to the bar tightly. You can curl and press without worring about the plates slip out ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09BZ2D468 | | Best Sellers Rank | 755,750 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) 809 in Strength Training Bars | | Brand Name | AboveGenius | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (629) | | Finish Type | Chrome | | Grip Size | 1 inch | | Grip Type | Ergonomic | | Item Dimensions L x W | 40.6L x 5.1W centimetres | | Item Highlight | Solid Steel Loadable Weight Bars for 2-Inch Plates, Adjustable Home Gym Strength Training Equipment | | Item Weight | 16.84 Pounds | | Manufacturer | AboveGenius | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Mounting Hole Diameter | 2 Inches | | Number of Items | 2 | | Part Number | AG-ODH16 | | Shaft Diameter | 25 Millimetres | | Shaft Length | 3.9 Inches | | Sleeve Length | 16 Inches | | Weight Capacity Maximum | 100 Pounds | ## Product Details - **Brand:** AboveGenius - **Grip size:** 1 inch - **Grip type:** Ergonomic - **Item weight:** 16.84 Pounds - **Material:** Alloy Steel - **Product dimensions:** 40.6L x 5.1W centimetres - **Shaft diameter:** 25 Millimetres - **Shaft length:** 3.9 Inches - **Speaker cutout diameter or length:** 2 Inches - **Weight limit:** 100 Pounds ## Images ![AboveGenius Pair of 16" Olympic Dumbbell Handles - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71qG+RGU2HL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - AboveGenius Pair of 16" Olympic Dumbbell Handles, Loadable Dumbbell Bars for 2-inch Olympic Weight Plates Great for Home Gym Strength Training, Weight Bars with 2 Pair of Spring Collars - CAP Barbell 2-Inch Olympic Grip Weight Plate | Multiple Options - Clout Fitness Olympic Barbell Clamps Collars Quick Release Pair of Locking Weight Clips Fit 2 Inch Barbell for Weightlifting --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/397726931-abovegenius-pair-of-16-olympic-dumbbell-handles](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/397726931-abovegenius-pair-of-16-olympic-dumbbell-handles) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-11-06*
