If you have one, you know there aren't many good places to mount a phone without blocking access or the view of something else. One of the ideal spots is in fact right in front of the vent. I've tried vent clips before and had mixed results, mostly med or poor. But I saw the mechanism with this vent clip where you place it first, then tighten slowly until everything tightens up. The mount clip spans 3 vent slats, and the cushion / pad tightens down nicely and firmly. In the Mazda, the convenience 12v outlet is low on the passenger side, which makes it a little out of the way to go fishing for the cable each time you get in the car. With this wireless mount, no longer an issue. connected the wire and tucked it in a bit, out of the way and that's it. As far as the charging mount itself, well, I picked it for it's low profile design, and clean lines, and it doesn't disappoint. Looks great, quite stable, rotates to landscape and back as needed, no problem. The mechanism itself does it's job. I've had automatic clamping mounts before, and thought they were a little slow. Not this one, this closes almost instantly, and releases when you push the button. You can push the button on either side. Once you get used to the button's location, pressing it just becomes part of your natural motion to grab the phone. I was also worried about how difficult it would be to remove the phone after turning off the car (no power). This would have been a deal breaker for me, but thankfully not an issue- the mechanism retains some power and operates normally even when the car is off. Must be a battery in there. I don't know for how long or how many times it will open and close without being plugged in, but I did it 4 times, which is 3 more than I've needed since. Finally, I used the included USB-c cable to connect the mount, and I get Fast Wireless Charging each time I place my Samsung S23, with its fairly sturdy (2mm thick) case, in the mount. So- after about two weeks of daily use- I realized I love this charging mount, so much so that I decided to take some pics and write a review. Highly recommend. Review: One of the best phone car mounts - Of all the vent clip phone mounts I've owned, this has probably been the best. I have an iPhone 16 Pro, and this fits it perfectly. I also like how the clip actually hooks AROUND the back of the vent slat, so it's not as flimsy as other models that just clamp onto the slat. I've had many other mounts that would fall off constantly because they just clamped onto the vent slat. After I installed this several months ago, it hasn't budged. My phone also has never fallen out of the mount. It charges at a good rate and is very easy to use. It's also super sleek, retracting in on itself after you turn off the car. I'd definitely buy another one the next time I upgrade my phone. ## Features - 【Auto-Precise Alignment Charging】This wireless car charger mount is built-in advanced sensor, just place your phone in after power on, it will adjust your phone in the best charging area while intelligently identify your device and selects optimal charging power performances, greatly improved charging efficiency. It mounts securely, grabs the phone and charges the phone perfectly. Little buttons on the side make removing the phone a breeze also. The only open-ended question is longevity. We'll see how it does! ## Frequently Bought Together - Wireless Car Charger, MOKPR Auto-Clamping Car Mount 15W/10W/7.5W Fast Charging Air Vent Car Phone Mount Compatible with iPhone 15/14/13/13 Pro/12 Pro Max/12 pro/12/11/10 Series, Samsung Galaxy Series - USB C Car Charger, 3-Port 67W Dual USB-C & USB-A Car Power Adapter PD/QC Fast Charging Cigarette Lighter for iPhone 16/15/14/13/12/11/Pro Max, iPad, Samsung Galaxy S25 S24/S23/S22/S21, Pixel, Android - (Apple MFi Certified) iPhone AUX Cord, Lightning to 1/8 Inch Audio Cable, 3.3ft Headphone Jack Adapter Male Aux Stereo Cable Compatible for iPhone 14/13/12/11/XR/X/8/7 (White) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/397288061-wireless-car-charger-auto-clamping-air-vent-car-mount-15w](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/397288061-wireless-car-charger-auto-clamping-air-vent-car-mount-15w) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
