In case anyone is wondering it does only come with episode one and two and you have to wait for episode 3, 4, and 5 to become available to download. You have to download each episode before you play and it seems to take at least 10 minutes or maybe less. I am enjoying the game a lot but to have to wait for the third episode really kills me. I played the first two seasons and it had all the episodes on there ready to go, no downloading needed. I don't understand why they couldn't do the same for season 3. I would have waited to buy the game later on if it meant I didn't have to wait for each episode. I thought I would only have to do that if I bought it digitally on the playstation store. Anyway, the game is great just like the first two but just a heads up you only get episode one and two and have to wait for episode 3, 4, and 5 to be available to download. Review: ***Brutal, Bloody, Gory, Emotional…with much improved Graphics! - Clementine has finally returned and she is tough in this linear interactive drama adventure game! New characters are introduced throughout the new story-line. The game is brutal, gory and bloody, only in the true fashion of the Walking Dead, which we all have come to enjoy! Telltale has introduced upgrades for smoother game play and more realism as seen in “Batman.” Rumors say that Telltale may go into production on an “Alien” game, based on the actual movie "Alien" by Ridley Scott…Wow! I can’t wait! The Facts: 1. (5) five part episode series. 2. Game comes with episodes 1 & 2…download 3, 4, 5, as they become available. 3. Game play is much improved, smooth and clean as in “Batman”-Telltale. 4. CG is much improved, beautiful illustrations, and set designs 5. Lots of brutality, gore and blood…yay! 6. Quick time events and corresponding HUD displays are easy to navigate. 7. Game play in smooth / linear (not) and open world game. 8. There is a Platinum Trophy available but must be earned. 9. Estimated total game play with all (5) episodes about 8-10 hours, based on previous games. Thank you! ## Features - Brand New in box. The product ships with all relevant accessories ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01LW6TJR6 | | Best Sellers Rank | #44,285 in Video Games ( See Top 100 in Video Games ) #2,762 in PlayStation 4 Games | | Compatible Video Game Console Models | Sony PlayStation 4 | | Computer Platform | PlayStation 4 | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars (409) | | Date First Available | September 27, 2017 | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00883929564378 | | Item Weight | 2.72 ounces | | Item model number | 1000631272 | | Language | English | | Manufacturer | Tellgame Games | | Product Dimensions | 0.6 x 5.3 x 6.7 inches; 2.72 ounces | | Rated | Mature | | Release date | February 28, 2017 | | Type of item | Video Game | | UPC | 883929564378 | ## Images ![The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series A New Frontier - PlayStation 4 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71EAOaa0lYL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will my past decisions in the previous games affect the story in this one?** A: It will. The game will ask you if you want to start a new game or continue from your last decisions. But that's only if you had the ps4 versions of the game. **Q: Is this game season 3? The next in seris after seasons 1 and 2?** A: Yes. It is season 3 **Q: Is this the full season and does it require any sort of download ? Thanks** A: It is the full season. But, only ep 1 is on the disc. the others have to be downloaded. You do this in-game. I disc just acts as a physical season pass. **Q: Should i play the first 2 games before playing this one? Not sure if its continued from the first 2** A: Yes you should play the first 2 games first. In a way its continued from the first 2 games ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review of The Walking Dead: Season 3 A New Frontier *by A***A on March 2, 2017* So I preordered this game and paid for one day shipping and I got it when I was supposed to. Thank you! ### ⭐ Just finished episode 1 & this is what happened...?? *by D***O on March 14, 2017* What you've paid for is only for >>ONE<< episode. not the entire 5-part series. You will need to hook up to the PS store to ?purchase? separately as the other episodes when they "become available" pardon my German, what? Such a load of nonsense. Could be frustrating for some gamers. You want to continue the story, but you cannot. It's like a pay per view. Does not make sense. Hey, what about 'season pass', you ask? It says its already purchased since you have the disc, but you will need to 'buy' & download again from the store... kinda stupid, right? ! don't get it. Other than that the story draws you in, pretty cool or should I say hot female leads if you ask me. Clementine's got a 12-gauge pump action shotgun now. so it pretty darn cool!! YEAH!! ... ... Anyway, if anyone who has a better option please let me know, I'll appreciate the feedback, cheers! Happy gaming! ## Frequently Bought Together - The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series A New Frontier - PlayStation 4 - The Walking Dead: The Final Season - PlayStation 4 - The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series - PlayStation 4 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/39702611-the-walking-dead-the-telltale-series-a-new-frontier-playstation](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/39702611-the-walking-dead-the-telltale-series-a-new-frontier-playstation) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
