I used this to slice the tether (similar material to seatbelt) it cut it effortlessly. I played with the glass breaker on a piece of garbage glass and it broke without a problem.

**Q: How does it work?**
A: As you press it against the glass a spring loaded glass breaker pops out of the tip to shatter the glass. If you want to see how it works (it does work well) you can use a butter knife to push down all the way on the tip keeping the hole clear of the knife(or another rigid object) to see it pop out. DO NOT USE YOUR FINGER!!!! It will shoot out with a lot of force and hurt like a mother f'er. I gave one as a gift and that person used their finger. They said it was extremely painful and hurt for a week.

**Q: Does it have to  be place on the particular location of the glass in order to work**
A: There is no exact spot on the Windows it needs to be, but the best place to put it is in one of the lower cornes besauce the window is more stabil here.. And then just press against the window

**Q: Can you leave it plugged in all the time? Will it drain your battery?**
A: I leave mine plugged in all tbe time, depending on the auto maker your vehicle, the plug may or may not be turned off with the key. If you are planning on leaving your car for an extended time...days or weeks I would unplug it.

**Q: Does it break the glass it you're underwater?**
A: I never tried under water. But I tried it on a soft drink glass bottle (not under water) and it worked.

This device is useful for our phones, so you'll always have it plugged in. If the vehicle flips or the inside contents get flung around, there is a good chance this charger will still be plugged in. I have some seatbelt style strap that isn't my seatbelt, it went through that easily. I tested the punch on the included testing card, but I didn't break any actual glass so it can stay sharp for when I need it. This is the best glass breaker for your car because it will be easily grabbed when you actually need it, and seconds count. It's also extremely useful even if you never get into an accident, so it's win win
