It was just delivered and the mouth only opens.** A: This toy operates in the same way as a litter picker tool. When you depress the bar beneath the hand-grip, the mouth opens but when you release the bar, the mouth should close by itself on the little fish or whatever else the shark has grabbed in its jaws. My problem with this toy was that there must be a spring or some other piece of metal inside and it caused rusty water to drain out of the toy and onto a towel/ bath/ floor. There was no way to fully drain out the water. It was a successful toy, though, and my grandson loved playing with it. **Q: where is this made?** A: China. **Q: Is there lead in this toy?** A: This shark bath toy does not contain phthalic acid and lead, and has passed ASTM and CPSIA children’s toy certification ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super cute& fun, WATCH FOR MOLD *by on Reviewed in the United States 23 July 2023* My grand LOVES this thing. At 3=5, she really handles the function and grabs all kinds of toys in the tub. She lost interest in the fish a couple weeks in. Months in, it still works as designed. Paint has worn off part of the eyes.I cracked open the mouth and looked inside today. HOLY CRAP! it's scary gross. I know many toys do this when water sits inside, but I didn't think it would be a problem in this shark bc it's more open than other toys. Now-we do have a hard water x soap scum issue. All her toys get soap scum after a few days in the tub.Bleach soak is needed regularly. Note, it looks fine from the outside. Check yours. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun and good for fine motor skills *by on Reviewed in the United States 26 January 2026* Grandson loves this. He is 2. Excellent for fine motor skill and just good play ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Big hit with the toddler - water doesn’t totally drain *by on Reviewed in the United States 13 September 2024* Bought this for my 3 year old to play with at the pool or in the bath and he LOVES it. It’s very cute, has held up to several months of toddler abuse, and works well. The only thing that worries me is that I can’t seem to get ALL of the water out when I put it away - so it might get moldy kind of fast.Maybe it drains more after we put it in the bath basket, but it would be nice if I didn’t hear water stuck in the handle. That’s the only reason I’m giving 4 stars. ## Frequently Bought Together - INvench Shark Grabber Baby Bath Toys - Blue Shark with Teeth Biting Action Include 4 Toy Fish - Bath Toys for Kids Ages 4-8 Boys Girls Toddlers Pool Toys - Tub Works® Emergency™ Cars Light Up Bath Toys, 6 Pack | Water-Activated Light Up Toys Flash & Change Color | Soft, Squeezable Baby & Toddler Bath Toys | Sensory Toys with Bath Lights for Kids Bath - Nuby Wacky Waterworks Pipes Bath Toy - Baby Bathtub Toy with Interactive Features for Cognitive Development --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/395059654-shark-grabber-baby-bath-toys-blue-shark-with-teeth-biting](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/395059654-shark-grabber-baby-bath-toys-blue-shark-with-teeth-biting) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
