Offering exceptional resistance to UV, saltwater, scratches, and fading, it covers 350-400 sq.ft. per gallon and applies easily by brush, roller, or spray. Compatible with wood, fiberglass, metal, and previously painted surfaces, Wet Edge ensures long-lasting beauty and professional results with minimal effort. ## Description TotalBoat Wet Edge Topside Paint is an easy-to-use, 1-component, marine-grade polyurethane that provides a beautiful, brilliant, resilient, high-gloss finish on hulls, cabin tops, consoles, and other topside surfaces above the waterline. Use on wood, fiberglass, and previously painted surfaces in good condition. Its UV-stable formula provides excellent weather resistance so the finish retains its superior color quality and gloss. Once cured, the extremely durable finish will not fade, lift, crack, or peel. The high-solids content in Wet Edge is what makes it look better and last longer. It's also why you need to apply thin coats—2-3 coats are all you need for long-lasting beauty and shine. Wet Edge gives you the high-gloss and durability of a 2-part polyurethane without all the hard work. It's very easy to apply, has excellent flow out, and dries perfectly smooth. For best results, prime bare wood or previously painted surfaces with TotalBoat Premium Topside Primer. Use TotalBoat Dewaxer & Surface Prep as a solvent wipe to remove grease, oil, & other contaminants. Wet Edge may be thinned with TotalBoat Special Brushing Thinner 100 (brush/roll application) or xylene (spray application). Application temperature is 50-90°F. In temperatures below 70°F, use TotalBoat Wet Edge Cold Cure topside paint for easiest application and ideal results. Wet Edge is also compatible with non-skid additives and flattening agents for 1-component polyurethane paints. Compare Wet Edge to Interlux Brightside, Pettit Easypoxy and EZ-Poxy, Epifanes Monourethane, and Rustoleum Topside. Wet Edge offers superior durability, color retention, gloss retention, and weather resistance. All TotalBoat products are developed by boaters for boaters, to provide great value and great results. 100% made in the USA. ## Features - Durable, High-Gloss Marine-Grade Paint: TotalBoat Wet Edge provides a beautiful, scratch-resistant, chemical-resistant finish with maximum color and gloss retention. - Easy To Apply 1-Part Formula: Get professional results with either the roll & tip method using a brush and roller or by spraying. Nice color. **Q: can this be used on shower tile** A: Good Afternoon, this product is designed for use on wood, fiberglass and previously painted surfaces. That being said, it should be fine on ceramic tiles as long as they are not subject to prolonged water exposure. It is recommended to use a primer first. Thank you. **Q: What kind of sprayer do you use on this? A commercial airless or a auto type paint gun?** A: I used a soft sponge roller and paint brush for detail if needed. **Q: Good day could i use regular thinner or reducer in this paint?** A: I used lacquer thinner and it worked fine. ## Frequently Bought Together - TotalBoat Wet Edge Marine Topside Paint for Boats, Fiberglass, and Wood (Kingston Gray, Gallon), 1 Gallon (Pack of 1) - TotalBoat Marine Topside Boat Paint Primer for Fiberglass and Wood (White), 1 Gallon (Pack of 1) - TotalBoat Special Brushing Thinner 100 (Quart) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/39210539-totalboat-wet-edge-topside-marine-paint-kingston-gray-gallon](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/39210539-totalboat-wet-edge-topside-marine-paint-kingston-gray-gallon) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
