Review: Great Quality Reeds for My Son’s Saxophone Practice - I bought these reeds for my son’s alto saxophone, and they’ve been excellent. The quality is consistent from reed to reed — they play smoothly and produce a nice, clear tone. He’s in 7th grade band and practices daily, and these have held up really well without chipping or wearing out too quickly. Review: Nice Wood for Saxophones! - I bought these pieces of wood after I tried shaving down a tree in my forest to match failed. (Not really, no) I like these pieces of wood because they fit into my saxophone no problem. The piece of wood had accurate absorption quality’s. I tested the wood pieces under water temporarily and also soaked the wood as well. To my surprise the wood held strong. This wood works great when stored at room temperature. This wood also fits my alto saxophone and leaves no sappy residue. The sound quality the wood produces is beautiful as well. Final Thought: Great Wood for New Players with a Great Price

**Q: My son needs a 2.5 reed size for a tenor sax. Will these work even though they say they’re for alto?**
A: NO! The saxophone reeds for each voice of saxophone are different sizes, as are the mouthpieces.

**Q: Are these wood or plastic?**
A: These are cane reeds, technically, but to give the answer you want, the reeds are wood. That being said, these reeds are the best quality for the price! You can spend more money on name brand reeds but at then of the day, the most important part of of the saxophone is the player!

**Q: Are these made in china or japan?**
A: China is what I assumed, but honestly I never really considered it!

**Q: Are these only available in 2.5 strength?**
A: No, I believe that all manufactured reeds are sold in various strengths. Most brands express hardness or strength numerically, usually starting at 2 and getting harder in increments of .5 There are a few that use soft, medium, hard ad very hard though.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth slightly more than their cost?

Comes in the box shown, but all the reeds are in a nice convenient small white reed holder. Holds all 10 reeds. Been playing for 5 years now, as for the reeds, they're literally your money's worth. The response of the reeds is literally only good due to how chappy (yes chappy is the closest word I have to describe their quality😭) they are. These reeds are playable with only like 3 of the ones I got being total snappable duds, so.. it's a reliable pack. The tone is a truly bright slappy sound with little reach of darkness. If you lowkey looking for that gnarly New Orleans kinda jazz sound, these work perfectly 👀... so it's.. mostly not for classical musicians.. But if you need reeds and don't have the green in the moment, get these suckers.
