The product ordered was exactly what showed up, the packaging looks a little different. It works great in our pool filter. The filter came with the pool from Costco we just needed the sand. The pool is Bestway and the filter says Flowclear. We don't have sand in the pool and it doesn't clog anything. I added a picture so people could see what the filter looked like for comparison. If your filter calls for #20 silica sand then this is what you need. **Q: Aquarium safe?** A: Yes it aquarium safe very fast to clean **Q: How often should you change the sand?** A: Every three yrs. (Possibly sooner depending on the size of your filter, volume of your pool and how much debris is deposited into it(ie: bugs, dirt etc)). **Q: What's the grade of hth 67079 pool filter sand vs. hth 67074 pool filter sand?** A: I don’t know. I tried 3 different grades and they all went through into the pool. I then bought some of the fiber filter balls replacing the sand. These are great. They do a good job of filtering without the sand blowing through. Run for the season, then pull the balls out and wash in your washing machine and replace for the next year. You can drive yourself crazy finding the right sand. We had an algae bloom at the end of the season and needed to clear it out before closing the pool. We were told we'd need a whole new system at 5,000 bucks so obviously we tried replacing the sand first. Thank god it worked. The sand arrived snug in the bag, no leaking in the box it was packaged in. I sliced a bag open when cutting the box tape though so be careful.
