It does not operate from a battery.If you already have a bell transformer this is a doddle to fit. If not, you'll need to install a transformer and run a wire to the unit. This is not difficult, but needs to be considered.Fitting the doorbell is really easy with all the necessary bits and pieces,even including a drill bit and screwdriver. You fit a bracket and then clip and secure the doorbell to the bracket.Configuring the doorbell to access your WiFi is also pretty straightforward once you have installed the ezviz app on your phone.Once configured, the doorbell can link to the ezviz door chime using the wireless network.
