In the past I had used hydrocollator pad for the moist heat, but this required a lot of prep time for a one time use after which you had to reprep it to use it again. When I saw this pad could provide moist heat continuously, I wanted to try it. My first concern has to do with the way it draws moisture, but I have to take it at face value since it worked for me. The one thing I liked (I hated it originally until I began to use over the course of a week) was the way it heats (only while holding the infamous blue lever). At first I found this to be problematic but in time I figured out (for me) when to press it for max heat then release until it cools down to a certain temperature/feeling then repress it again until it reaches the maximum heat I can tolerate and repeat over and over again until it is time for the ice pack. One not I do think they could improve the product by allowing an individual to turn it on continuously at a given temperature thus meeting everyone's needs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This one really heats!!! *by S***T on February 17, 2025* Most heating pads provide very little heat. My husband has back issues and wanted to heat and ice his back . He tried the heaping pad I bought at a local drugstore and said the heat was so weak it wasn’t worth it. I went on Amazon and found a medical grade one. It I gets really hot! The switch is one you jhave to hold for it to be on, and he wasn’t sure he would like that but it works because it heats quickly and you can’t leave it on for long.He is very happy with it, and as it cools down you get kind of a moist heat which is good! ### ⭐ Must hold lever all the time *by K***N on March 29, 2025* You have to hold a lever to get heating pad tp work. If you quit squeezing the lever, the heating pad goes off.
