I've been doing it that way for years. While the precision of a fine tweezer is wonderful, they lack the gripping power and rigidity of pliers. Buying this pair of tweezer nose pliers has been been the second best thing I have ever done for electronics work (with a proper soldering iron being the best). These give you a great level of precision without being too bulky or getting in the way all while lending you a much better grip on your part!
