I’ve switched off both the phone and iPad several times, including overnight, and the app pairs with the units straight away when switched back on, very pleased and I will now be buying another three units. Or is recording only done by the app?** A: Data is stored in the device. A year apparently. When you connect a device via Bluetooth the data is copied to the app (and not deleted). If you connect another device (and app) it too gets all the data. So we have a pair of Apple devices both with the data. We have a couple of units, one where we collect data on a daily basis and another every couple of weeks.
