The holder can easily mount to any standard 2” class III and IV receiver hitch with a 5/8” hitch pin, accepting umbrellas with a 1-3/8” – 2” diameter shaft. Although it is compatible with most tailgates, there are pre-installed reducer bushings to accommodate modifications. Depending on the size of the shaft of your umbrella, the bushing can easily be removed or replaced. For shafts smaller that 1-3/8” – 1-1/2” in diameter, leave the reducer bushings in. For shafts larger than 1-1/2” in diameter, the bushing can be easily removed.
