A: This is a soft shell case.  It is very nice.

A: Foam can be easily removed.

**Q: What is the maximum length  shaft this case will accommodate?**
A: I have a 58 inch cue stick it fits perfect

**Q: Does the black with purple trim look purple or pink?**
A: Looks purple. These cases are great, I use mine to carry extra shotgun barrels.

Just received this case! Shipping was very fast, case looks very sturdy and holds my cue very well, does not rattle around like my last case. Was happy with overall product. One item was had to modify chalk hole. That was disappointing as chalk ( in This case blue diamond) size hasn’t changed. Cue fits nice without joint protectors but may have to modify if that is your preference
