You should consider getting the wheel set for the STS version if you are also going to fly from a grass field as the SS wheels are a bit small. It does fly well with both 4S and 6S batteries. Even though the CG was in the recommended range mine needed a lot of up elevator trim to get hands free level flight but after that things went well. I have 13 flights on her now and must admit it has a huge flight envelope for speed. I have stuffed a 6S 4500 into her and it was a very tight fit. A 4000 fits better by far. A good first jet due to the slow speed capability and non retractable gear. Review: She's a Nimble Blonde - Much Faster and responsive than the STS 70mm EDF version, I have both.. All in all a great EDF Jet, but you really have to go way out to begin your landing approach, it's more 'Nose Heavy' with a 6S Lipo. I usually just deadstick it in for landing (no reverse thrust) to prevent the Habu Hop... And I only fly this with 6S, I flew it once with 4S and it was so underpowered I had no confidence in continuing the flight... Hope this helps someone... ## Features - A modified version of the popular Habu STS that offers nearly unlimited vertical performance, more speed and even more aerobatic capability - Unique airframe design delivers incredible low-speed handling and slow speed performance that makes it one of the easiest to fly jets EVER - Specially tuned motor and 70mm 10-blade fan compatible with 4S to 6S batteries without the need for modifications or upgrades - Popular and affordable 4S to 6S 3200–4000mAh batteries deliver excellent performance and flight times - 70-amp Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC provides real-time battery voltage, current, RPM and other data via compatible receivers and transmitters ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09LM3D4W8 | | Additional Features | Portable | | Age Range Description | 14 + | | Battery Description | Lithium-Ion | | Best Sellers Rank | #417,013 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #568 in Hobby RC Airplanes | | Brand Name | E-flite | | Color | Yellow | | Customer Package Type | FFP | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 32 Reviews | | Educational Objective | Hobby and skill development (hand-eye coordination, patience, problem-solving), introduction to basic physics concepts | | Included Components | (1) Brushless Outrunner Motor (installed), (1) E-flite® Habu SS 70mm EDF, (1) Spektrum AR631 6-Channel Receiver (installed), (1) Spektrum™ Avian™ 70A Brushless Smart Lite ESC (installed), (5) Servos (installed), Product Manual | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Outdoor | | Item Dimensions | 52 x 21.3 x 10.3 inches | | Item Type Name | RC Airplane | | Manufacturer | E-flite | | Manufacturer Part Number | EFL0950 | | Manufacturer recommended age | 14 months and up | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Name | Habu SS (Super Sport) | | Model Number | EFL0950 | | Number of Batteries | 1 Nonstandard Battery batteries required. | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Players | 1 | | Operation Mode | Remote Control | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Scale | 1:30 Scale | | Set Name | BNF Basic | | Size | 52 inches | | Theme | airplane | | Toy Vehicle Form | Airplane | | UPC | 605482133750 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Images ![RC Airplane Habu SS Super Sport 70mm EDF Jet BNFTransmitter Battery and Charger Not Included Basic with Safe Select and AS3X EFL0950 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61zhlicW1qL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What battery connector is used ?** A: EC5 Connector. **Q: Does the landing gear retract?** A: No **Q: Does this Habu SS version come with the dongle and simulator software steam code?** A: No it does not. **Q: will this work with dx6 g2 transmitter ?** A: If you go to the Habu 70mm SS web site the manual indicates that it will. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good first EDF Jet. *by M***C on November 3, 2025* The jet flys great from our grass field.
