**Q: What steel is used?**
A: High-quality stainless-steel X30Cr13

**Q: I am looking for a kitchen knife with a good secure sheath that can go in my camping gear. How securely does the sheath attach to the chef knife?**
A: It will not fall out of the sheath until you take it out. I just tested mine (both the long and short one) by grabbing it by the sheath and  shaking it up and down. Neither fell from the sheath. I really like these knives, but they occasionally need sharpening.  I have sharpened them twice in the year that I've owned them.

**Q: The description says the sheath is "not suitable for serrated or ceramic blades" yet also says "blade edge: serrated"! what good is that?**
A: Blades are not serrated or ceramic. I have found these knives to be of high quality. Sheaths have sharpeners that work well with the knives. Again 
These  knives are not cerated

**Q: is it dishwaer safe**
A: Yes.  I put mine in the dishwasher on the top rack, and it has done well for a year.
