It hasn't changed my beef cooking behavior but it has completely revolutionized my chicken cooking experience. I don't believe a meat thermometer should be relegated to the grill alone. Use it frequently, test your internal thermometer. I don't think this is the best meat thermometer on the market, but it's position as the cheapest gives it value alone.Do be aware that for a few seconds after turning on, the temperature goes a bit wild. wait until it stabilizes then it will operate fairly reliably. Accurate reading is about three seconds, any longer and the measurement will be higher on the device than it is in the meat. ### ⭐ Not Accurate...not even close! *by R***D on Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2019* After using it a few times, I suspected the accuracy was off. Then, I tested it versus an actual thermometer in a cup of hot water. The thermometer read 150 degrees...this unit read 120.
