A: If J2F is unavailable for any reason, or if you'd like a second opinion, if you send me some I would be happy to test it out for you too! xxoo

**Q: Does this leave a plastic taste after time?**
A: No, no plastic taste (it's not even made of plastic).  We have had ours for 8 months and use it in a Suvee (warm bath). 
 We like it so much, we got a second Stasher Silicon food bag.

**Q: How much more does this weigh than a plastic bag of the same size? Looking to use for bulk spices.**
A: It weighs probably 2 oz.  more than Plastic but is measurably better for storing things hope this helps you with your question.

I have used this bag for storage, travel and sous-vide so far. It’s very sturdy and worked wonderfully for packing shampoo for a flight. I can store most vegetables in it (a bunch of carrots fits in there perfectly). Although I used it for sous-vide and would do so again in a pinch it was too thick to be a perfect solution to plastic-free cooking. It’s impossible to get much air out and the thickness of the silicon means it takes a bit longer to heat the contents, but it’s still a nice way to avoid plastic while cooking the perfect steak. It was easy to wash and dries quickly. If these are on sale they are a great bargain.
