Been using a Shure sm58 for a year and wanted to try a new sound. I saw lots of good reviews, some saying this is the best under $100 condenser microphone. They were right!It picks up my vocal signal so effortlessly compared to a dynamic. I cannot speak to self noise except there's nothing noticeable, and I'm not doing voiceovers anyway. The -10 db switch gives you extra options to avoid clipping. I turn mine on all the time. The only issue might be some excessive sibilance but that might be the post processing. Half the time it sounds fine, not too essy.And you cannot beat the price. I think this is the only sub $100 condenser that includes a shock mount. I'm really happy with this.
