We eat pho all the time and these are thr kinds of spoon we need. Typically pho is served at bear boiling temps (to cook the rare beef) so the spoons need to be cool enough to sip from. Metal spoons will burn the lips and tongue at these temps. So it's important to have the right kind of spoon for the right dish. These are not to be used like regular western style spoons where the entire spoon is put in the mouth. It's not shaped to accommodate the mouth.
