Review: I ordered 6 cans of Bar Harbor (based/produced) New England Clam Chowder "ready-to-serve" expecting the taste and composition would mirror the NE clam chowder I enjoyed locally while stationed at Brunswick ME naval air station many years ago. To my disappointment what I got was horrible tasting. Instead of a thickened base with measurable sized pieces of clams - what you'd expect NE clam chowder would be (and how I remembered it) - the liquid base was essentially thin milky water and the clam content was near non-existent. No celery, no potato ... nothing but the milky thin base liquid and totally tasteless, and on top of this it didn't have any fishy/clam/seafood odor whatsoever. Purportedly this product is produced in Bar Harbor, ME.... but I've visited Bar Harbor on vacation and in no way does this canned product remotely resemble the same content and composition of what you get in the local eateries.
