We were advised to buy bison with sweet potato. We believe this formulation is healthy and it is definitely palatable. All visiting guest dogs enjoy this formula too. She’s 10+ and is very healthy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good food for kibble. My dogs favorite! *by on Reviewed in the United States August 20, 2026* My dogs love the taste and it always smells fresh coming from Amazon. My pets have allergies so this is the best food I’ve found for good digestion. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Natural Balance Limited Ingredient - Sweet Potato & Bison *by on Reviewed in the United States November 14, 2023* My dogs love this. They’re littermates and have food allergies and food sensitivities. I’ve bought just about every Limited Ingredient dog food there is. Natural Balance is a reliable brand. I keep coming back to it. My dogs enjoy it and it doesn’t hurt their stomachs at all (a problem with some other brands). My only issue is it gives them stinky breath. I brush my dogs teeth daily. They’ve always had normal healthy dog breath. When they eat this food - it’s kind of fishy and stinky, hot breath. I guess it’s the particular kind of fish oil they add in. It’s the 8th ingredient in a long list of ingredients so that means there’s a decent amount of it in there. Anyways, I deal with the breath because this is a food I can trust for my dogs dietary needs - just thought I’d mention the drawback. The kibble is a larger circular kibble, usually light brown in color. It does have a fishy, kibble scent when scooping it into the dog bowls. There’s usually a ton of crumbs in Natural Balance bags - more than other brands - doesn’t matter to me or my dogs - but it can be messy when serving it. And like I said - my dogs really like it (to be fair - they’ve never been picky - but they really go after their meals so I know they enjoy this). As far as Sweet Potato being the first ingredient - well, that’s the case with most Limited Ingredient food these days. I definitely recommend this. My dogs do very well on it. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/369621882-limited-ingredient-reserve-sweet-potato-and-bison-12-lb](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/369621882-limited-ingredient-reserve-sweet-potato-and-bison-12-lb) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
