Review: Great product, worst possible seller - I purchased what I though was a case of this product, description indicated Box-12. The price and shipping were both elevated for one bottle but AS THE DESCRIPTION NOTED for a box of 12 a good deal. One these at my local sporting goods store is $8. The cost of product and shipping on desertcart was about $33. I got the ONE BOTTLE, shipped from England! about a month later in a rolled up plastic mailer with tape all over it. No protection for the bottle. Much of contents had squeezed out and quite frankly the whole mess smelled very bad. desertcart agreed with me about the misleading description and after putting up a strong fight got a credit. What a nightmare. You would think desertcart would move much faster to get these creeps off their site, however I think they sort of like it when you get burned as you are incentivized to stay with desertcart. Just because it is on desertcart does not mean it can't be a rip-off.

I purchased what I though was a case of this product, description indicated Box-12. The price and shipping were both elevated for one bottle but AS THE DESCRIPTION NOTED for a box of 12 a good deal. I’ve used this on waterproof jackets and synthetic hiking boots. It does what it says. When the outer fabric starts soaking up rain instead of beading it off, this spray brings the beading back and helps the gear stay breathable. What matters: Clean the item first. Use a proper technical cleaner like Nikwax Tech Wash or natural soap - do NOT use normal detergent or fabric conditioner or it will fail and you'll destroy the chances of your gear working as well as it should in the future. DON'T ignore this bit - been there, done that. Do not use normal washing detergent or fabric softener. They leave residue that attracts water and stops this product working properly. If you have used normal detergent before, rinse the item well before applying. Spray onto clean, damp fabric. Apply evenly and wipe off any excess. Let it dry naturally, or use a short, low heat tumble if the label allows. Do not leave it in a hot dryer for a long time. Too much heat can reduce how well it works and can stress waterproof linings like Gore-Tex. Pros: Restores water beading on jackets and boots Easy to apply Keeps gear performing properly Cons: It will not fix a damaged or leaking waterproof lining It will not work properly if you skip cleaning or use regular detergent Too much heat in the dryer reduces effectiveness Overall, a solid product that works well as long as you clean properly first and avoid overdoing the heat.
