A: If the eraser will not lock in place on the Paper Mate Clearpoint Mechanical Pencil, spin the eraser out until it will go no further. Then hold on to the twist and push the eraser down until it will go no further. Once fully pushed in twist the eraser back down and retry. Mechanical pencils are really the best. There's never a worry about having to sharpen them and the leads don't get dull.These pencils have a nice comfort grip so there is never a worry about having to hold the pencil so tightly that there's an indention in your fingers when you're done writing. Some mechanical pencils actually seem to scratch the paper while using. These are smoother, and the colors are so cute. The erasers don't smear either. The sale price was right for the multi-pack also.
