## Description

Adjustable Telescoping Tent & Tarp Poles by Ridge Outdoor Gear Made with durable rust-proof aluminum alloy, our easy-to-use rods feature a taller max height, infinite adjustability, and an improved tip cover. Where else will you find a pole that extends over 8 feet?! Ideal for use with a tent, awning, arb, tarpaulin, shelter, canopy, canvas, rainfly, sunshade, sun sail, camper, car, suv, rv, boat, van, truck, patio & more! Why Choose RIDGE?◆Tallest & shortest on the market–Extends 8ft+. ◆New and improved–Wider silicone tip cover eliminates punctures and significantly reduces slipping. The cover is removable. ◆Easier to use–Simple twist and release/lock provides superior adjustment. Don’t settle for sectioned poles that only offer 3-4 predetermined heights. ◆Heavy duty–Supports up to 25 lbs each pole. NOTE: Not meant for permanent structures. These are meant for temporary tarps, awnings, etc. ◆USA Company–Your purchase is backed by a US company with a 100% guarantee. If there is an issue, contact us immediately! ► Max. Length = 8ft 2.5in, 250cm ► Min. Length = 2ft 9.5in, 85cm ► Weight = 1.1 lbs each, 17.8oz ► Tube Diameter = 1.25in thickest segment, 0.75in thinnest segment ► Rubber Foot = 1.5in diameter, slip resistant ► Pole Material = Corrosion resistant aviation grade aluminum alloy ► Steel Tip = 1.5in long, 0.23in diameter ► Silicone Tip Cover = 1.25in in diameter Buy right the first time, click ‘Add to cart’ now! *Not recommended for permanent structures or in extreme wind/weather conditions. Note: The longer the pole is extended, the less stable it is (that is physics). Please use with caution if you extend it 100% of the way. Extend base segments first. If used in rain, remove the rubber foot to drain any water.

Review: Exactly What I Wanted - I've been looking for a set of poles to use to support my tarps or poncho when camping and backpacking, rather than rigging up my hiking poles (not ideal/too short). These Ridge tent/tarp poles were very easy to adjust; it only took a short twist to unlock or tightly lock the telescoping segments. I've included a photo of the poles and storage bag that they arrived with in the box and then both out of the box. At full extension, the poles certainly seemed sturdy: able to support a rain-filled tarp, a strong gust, or (most likely) me tripping on it in the dark. At 1.1 lbs each they are reasonably light enough for me to take on backpacking trips in the summer when I am not likely to carry a tent. I wanted to make sure it would fit all the tarp grommets I use, so I included photos of the metal end and silicone cap as well as the metal end fit onto my military style poncho and lighter blue tarp. Both worked, as you can see. My only negative is that these are a little heavy for backpacking, especially if you are also carrying a tent. But I also realize that being ultralight is not a claim the seller made. If you need a set of light and portable poles to support tarps or shade structures for camping/outdoor/recreation- these will do the job well!
Review: Strong and lightweight - So far, these poles are a 5 star. The poles I received matched the product description. The question and answers answered my questions. The reviews were accurate. My expectations were exceeded by the quality of poles that I received. These were my initial concerns: #1 My biggest concern was that the poles would be too thin. The poles not not too thin even though the poles become more narrow at the top. The physics look right witha base that is wider at the bottom. I like that the base and top are a soft plastic that grips instead of hard plastic that slides. #2 My next concern was that the poles would be too heavy. Eight poles came in my box and they were not heavy at all. I have physical limitations and easily lift the box with one hand. The box was so lightweight that I thought I had ordered the wrong product. I could carry only one pole attached to the outside of my backpack without an issue. It would be a little bulky, but strong. I wish the twist locks for extending and collapsing the poles were made of metal instead of plastic. As insurance, I will carry a small amount of duct tape in case the twist locks need emergency repair. Another concern was that the top of the poles would poke through the tarps and tent flys. The top is soft grip type plastic that will not easily damage tarp. Disclaimer: although I bought these poles, I have not used these in the field. I will update when I field test. This review is for those who plan to purchase these as a gift for themselves or others. These come in pairs (2 poles) in in its own cloth-like bag which I suspect helps keep them quiet in the vehicle because they made no sounds in the box. I am optimistic about the poles and do not regret my purchase. I can enthusiastically recommend Ridge Outdoor Gear Adjustible Telescoping tarp poles to family and friends. While I suspect they could survive harsh conditions - keep a small amount of duct tape in your emergency bag. Thank you for taking the time to read this review. I hope you found it helpful.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems good, but ...
*by L***B on April 25, 2021*

I ordered a set of these but the rubber tip broke off from the rubber strap that holds it to the pole. Exchanged for another set and this time both tip covers broke off. This is either cheap parts (not durable rubber) or a design flaw (connector isn't long enough) or both. The poles themselves did a great job doing their main purpose of holding up a dining fly in the rain on Old Rag Mountain. As for the added feature ... it needs work.
