To check if the door is open or close you have to go to the door and check. I didn’t understand that I needed the gateway for remote connectivity at the beginning.I’ve tried 3 different gateways, that didn’t work and couldn’t get much CS response. I’d been contemplating starting over with a new lock, when I read a review for this one that said Customer Service helped them connect to an Oaks Lock, so I ordered it, tried it, it didn’t work, then I contacted CS. Yvonne sent a text and we were able to figure out how to connect. Please note that, you may need to rest your lock completely, download the TTLock app, load the lock, attach it to the gateway, then use it with your lock app.However, the result is phenomenal! So easy to use! So convenient!Yvonne is very patient, and very knowledgeable!
