The white lines are far easier to work with, and they can be readily removed after the cuts are made. These pencils do the job well, and are inexpensive compared to other similar items. I don't know if this will help artists much, but five stars for my purposes!

I am not an artist, but these seem to do what you want them to do for the most part. They feel just like your average colored pencil, and they layer on top of other colored pencil okay. I wouldn't call them "soft" necessarily, but as I said, I'm really not an artist and just got some art supplies to draw and color for fun and as an outlet. I art for the sake of art, and I do it badly. These look good; they feel good; and they seem to work pretty well. I would get them again.
