Lovely sound, well made...a piece of art in itself. Very happy with it. Review: Lovely - I wasn't sure about bamboo rainsticks as I had never tried them out before. The sound was lovely. I had wanted a longer one but actually this one is still very good. I may get a longer one in the future. It has a nice sound and I like the design, although I am not familiar with this aboriginal style. I do like the case that goes with it so it is very portable. ## Features - AUTHENTIC BAMBOO RAIN STICK SOUND: Crafted from natural bamboo wood, this rain stick instrument produces gentle cascading tones that recreate soothing rainfall ambience. Lovely sound, well made...a piece of art in itself. Very happy with it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lovely *by V***T on 29 October 2021* I wasn't sure about bamboo rainsticks as I had never tried them out before. The sound was lovely. I had wanted a longer one but actually this one is still very good. I may get a longer one in the future. It has a nice sound and I like the design, although I am not familiar with this aboriginal style. I do like the case that goes with it so it is very portable. ### ⭐ Not fit for purpose as it can't be used as an instrument. *by M***S on 11 May 2026* Terrible quality with splinters all over it, exposed nails, dents in the wood, loose parts and a flat sound unlike any rainmaker worth its salt. Returning it is also a pain, you have to drop it off yourself at a DPD depot for international return and as we have none nearby I did not get any option of a return address. Phoned Amazon and after sending photo evidence and waiting on the phone for some time for a decision, a DPD pickup was organised. Avoid 100%. Definitely not worth the price. The only thing it could be suitable for is for a 'no touch display' but certainly not at such a price. ## Frequently Bought Together - Australian Treasures - Rainstick 100cm carved including nylon bag! - Percussion Plus PP625 Seed Shaker - TOCA Seed Shell Shaker T-SS, Brown --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/356669838-rainmaker-instrument-100-cm-relief-carved-bamboo-wood-rain-rattle](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/356669838-rainmaker-instrument-100-cm-relief-carved-bamboo-wood-rain-rattle) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
