It's an affordable line of instruments from Fender, designed to make the classic designs accessible to everyone. This particular one in Lake Placid Blue looks absolutely amazing. The paintwork is a beautiful, deep blue colour that really catches the eye and makes the bass look much more expensive thanit actually is. The PJ pickup configuration is a standout feature. It's the best of both worlds, giving you the fat, punchy tone from the split-coil P-Bass pickup and the brighter, more articulate sound from the single-coil J-Bass pickup. This makes it really versatile for different styles of music. It also has a nice thin, lightweight body, which is a big plus as it's really comfortable to play for long periods. Of course, to keep the price down, there are some compromises. The Squire basses are generally made in Asia, and they use more affordable components compared to their more expensive Fender cousins. The hardware and pickups are decent for a beginner, but you might find yourself wanting to upgrade them down the line as your skills improve. The tuners are alright, but can sometimes feel a bit loose, and the fretwork might need a professional setup to get it perfect. Overall, it's a solid, reliable, and great-looking bass for the money. It's the perfect entry point for a new player. It looks the part, plays well, and with a bit of a setup, it can be a great instrument. It also comes with free virtual lessons, which is a great way to kickstart your bass journey. Review: Squier ...
