This says it’s 5.5 inches but what is just the blade? Thank you!** A: Cutting space is 4 in wide. At a diagonal the blade is 4.5 in. Long. **Q: I removed the blade dial and now can't get it back in!! Any help ??** A: Align the word OUT on the dial with the notch on the top of the blade unit. Blade unit should go back in, and click in place. **Q: What is the blade width?** A: 4 1/2 ". I like this mandoline better than any of the others I have owned. It is adjustable and chops also with just a twist of the knob. You have you be careful of the blade....it is very sharp. You can thin-slice a ripe tomato. But it comes with a blade protector which I recommend you use each time you store it. I recommend this slicer. **Q: The blade has dulled.
