They've become one of my favorite grains. I like the chewiness better than the creaminess of oatmeal or oat bran. Great in place of rice. About 1 cup groats. Rinse well in water. Add about 4-5 cups fresh water. 1 tsp of salt. Simmer covered 40 mins. Taste to see if it's the consistency you like.
