A: for my model, per instructions page 13:

6. Empty the water tank (A16) completely and remove the 
water softener filter (C4), if present. Empty the drip tray 
(A12) (fig. 27) and grounds container (A10), then put them 
back in the appliance;

7. Pour the descaler (C3) into the tank up to level A
(corresponding to a 3,38 fl.oz/100 ml pack) marked on the inner surface of the 
tank (fig. 40), [about an inch]; then add a litre of water up to level B (fig. 40) and put the water 
tank back in the appliance;

**Q: Can you give directions on how to use EcoDecalk to descaler a coffee machine?**
A: Depends on the machine. Look in the user’s manual or Google that machine and get directions online.

**Q: Will this help if water slow drips through espresso grinds? I thought machine doesn’t have enough pressure, but maybe it need this?**
A: Calcification will block the pipes and reduce pump pressure, so yes, decalcification is critical, especially if the water is hard where you live

Helps descale our De’Longhi coffee machine. I can taste the difference in our coffee as soon as I clean the machine, so I use this even before the machine alerts that it needs descaling. Just make sure you use gloves and clean up any spills- as I made the mistake of spilling some on my hands and they peeled for a week. There are warnings about ensuring you don’t touch the liquid, but I’d never spilled it on myself in the past.
